Nikinnicky, The Marvelous Mrs Maisel This must be an exciting time to be an actor, writer, director, set designer, costume designer, etc. With services such as Prime Video the opportunities for original productions such as this seem to have grown exponentially and this one is a gem. Set in 1958 in NYC, “Midge” Maisel is a woman who knew what she wanted and obtained it, fully ensconced in the safety and blinders of her comfortable existence.until her husband’s infidelity after 4 years of marriage and 2 children. The loss of equilibrium that accompanies such events opens her eyes to the world around and within her. The ensemble cast is delightful, crafting richly textured characters who even at their most outrageous maintain their vulnerability and accessibility.
