You can use command sudo rfkill list to check if the wifi is enabled or blocked. If necessary you can unblock it using command sudo rfkill unblock 0. Sudo rfkill list has everything listed as “no”, so I’m guessing that means nothing is blocked. Rebooted after that. No connection. Then something strange happened.

Since I had desktop installed, I moused over the wifi area and under there it had wlan0 and wlan1 along with the wifi servers in the area. I clicked on my server and it said to put in the password, which I did. Then it connected I rebooted it to see if it kept the connection, which it did, so it appears that I have everything up and running.

Scratch that. In the time it took me to type that out, it lost the connection and now under wlan0 (which I’m guessing is the wifi card) it says “No APs found - scanning”.

Wlan1 still has all the servers listed, but if I click on my server and put in the password, nothing happens. Rebooting causes it to revert back to the way it originally was - with it not auto connected, but wlan0 now has servers listed again and connects if i put in my password. I am so confused right now. It’s connected, but I’m not sure I trust it to stay that way yet (without a monitor to monitor it with). Sorry for the delay in getting back. One thing you need to note is that because the Pi 3B and 3B+ both have a built in Broadcom wifi adding an additional wifi so there are two wifis available could cause issues as when rebooting like you have seen as it cannot be guaranteed which wifi will get name wlan0 and which one wlan1.
