Excel For Mac Text In Formula Bar Small
Microsoft Excel allows you to control the display of the program in various ways, including complete personalization of the top ribbon. However, if you're finding the large top ribbon to be troublesome, here's an easy way to create some more space on your computer screen. Display or Hide the Formula Bar in Excel Open your spreadsheet and click on the File menu. Next, click on Excel Options and move to the Advanced tab. Scroll to the Display section.
This keyboard shortcut doesn’t work in Excel 2008 or Excel 2008 for Mac, and there’s no drop-down arrow at the right side of the formula bar. When you encounter a cell with more than one line Excel automatically expands the formula bar.

Good Evening -- In one of my Spreadsheets, I have a column of text cells that contain product Descriptions. Most of those Cells are filled by copying from a web page and and pasting the title info shown on the webpage into the formula bar. I paste it into the formula bar to avoid the HTML Color and size formatting and to avoid paste Special ( a hassle in Excel 2002 ) Often the Text that shows in the Formula bar will appear like this Sony P6-MP30 Video 8 Standard Grade Metal Particle Video Cassette by Sony or sometimes Ewoks - The Battle for Endor (1985) Starring: Wilford Brimley, Warwick Davis VHS BUT Sometimes I need to key in text descriptions manually. When I do they all appear in the formula bar as -- Sony P6-MP30 Video 8 Standard Grade Metal Particle Video Cassette by Sony or Ewoks - The Battle for Endor (1985) Starring: Wilford Brimley, Warwick Davis VHS My text is all in one long line.
When I tab or Enter in the spot I would like to move to a new line, it just moves to the next cell -- There must be a character that does not show up that puts in a line break - What is it and Can I enter it manually? Any Help Appreciated.
