Your comment made me take a look at how I use my trackpad, as I don't seem to have problems with it, and find it to be very comfortable. I realized that I tend to primarily use it with the edge of my middle finger, instead of my index, so I can keep my wrist at a 45° angle.
I think that also having 'Magic Prefs' helps, as it gives you many more options. For 3 or 4 finger gestures, I'll need to turn my wrist, but I can generally keep it at 45° most of the time. Don't know if this helps you at all, but I wanted to point it out. It doesn't help that the Magic Mouse is so bad lol.

I don't know who thought a 70% used bar of soap would be a good ergonomic shape for a mouse, but it gives me hand cramps trying to use it, and it doesn't detect left/right clicks if both fingers are on both sides so you have to keep raising fingers off it to do what you want. Magic Trackpad is 100000% better. I'd still like a good mouse designed with macOS gesture support though. There's probably not much hope for it but I'd still like Apple to make a good ergonomic mouse built around a human hand, that has macOS gestures on top.
