I love TWEWY, played it originally on the DS, am now playing via emulation on Android with DraStic. Just wondering if anyone has played the original game and solo remix, and if there are any thoughts on whether the Android version is worth the money over emulating the DS version. It looks good, but $18 is steep for a game I already own, and I'm wary of Squeenix's Android policies and DRM. I play on the bus on my tablet a lot, and Square Enix's DRM has been pretty shitty about playing without a network connection. I've found it to be no more difficult than the original, beyond the learning curve, since the tablet screen is bigger. Tablet in portrait orientation, touchscreen portion on bottom, partner on top just like on the DS.

I've mainly kept my partner on auto for now, but it should be easy to control the partner if I enable only the abxy buttons and no other controls and move it above the touch screen area. I may also enable the R button for skipping through cutscenes later and doing sub-slots. Only drawback is mic psychs, my tablet doesn't hae a mic so i gotta use that virtually, but it doesn't matter, I found those psychs to suck mostly. What makes you feel the original controls were flawed? I honestly feel it's one of the best games I've ever played, hands down, and I've been gaming for over 25 years, since the Atari 7800. The touch controls were on point, with a fast dodge, and the attacks varied in ways that made sense for the touch controls (swipe, slash neku, slash enemy, tap space, tap enemy, hold, scratch, mic, etc.) Meanwhile, the partner controls were fairly simple so you could focus on just targeting the right direction, and occasionally dodging when needed by just pressing down on either side.

I have no issues with the touch controls. They're fine. The partner system is stupid. Because it's a whole different control scheme that's convoluted. The game makes you play two fast paced games on two separate screens at the same time all the time during battle with completely different control schemes, where if you lose in one you lose both.
