Hello, I have the same issue if I may add to the thread. IPAM has been configured as maksoy2099 described; no errors collecting data, but no MAC addresses are collected. We were planning on using IPAM for granular access for teams to add DHCP reservations without having to open up the DHCP MMC. Is there a way around this issue so that IPAM can pull MAC address info from the DHCP server instances so that addressing is up-to-date when a reservation is created? We are hoping to use one tool for DHCP reservation creation.

Below is the DNS registration configuration from DHCP. I still find it hard to believe that IPAM can't pick up a MAC address from DHCP simply because of they way the client wishes to register it: DHCP has this information irregardless. • Enable DNS Dynamic Updates: Yes • Enable name protection: No • Dynamically update DNS records: Always • Discard DHS records when lease is deleted: Yes • Dynamically update DNS records for DHCP clients that do not request updates: Yes • Disable dynamic updates for DNS PTR records: No Curious to see if there is a way around this without changing the way our DNS registration works.
